Sorry for the lack of posts, it appears my slightly “relaxed” training has also rolled over into my bloging
Promise to step it up a gear on all levels soon!
I have to say at the moment I’m quite happy just ticking along with training in the 70-80 mile range while I get back into the swing of things.I’ve also done a couple of track sessions these past two weeks which I have enjoyed as we normally stick to just the promenade or grass loop for our club interval sessions on Tuesday but my new job has meant I have been able to get down to the track on Thursday’s for a session as well. All session details in the links above.
Nothing spectacular over the 2 weeks but gradually getting some speed back into my legs. The parkrun in the middle was done with a bit of a hangover after the football so it was a bit of a slow start!
I was hoping for quite a bit faster at Lordshill this past Sunday but it’s not the fastest course with the 2nd half consisting of an off road mile which was very slippery conditions and then an uphill grind….. well that’s my excuse for being a minute slower in the second half and I’m sticking to it!
Should be fun this coming Saturday as I have my first ever 3000m in the BAL match on Saturday, looking forward to it
